This journal article, Delaporte and Maurel (2016) focused on reducing vulnerabilities of community people by improving the adaption capacity of Bangladesh. The authors argued that affected households people adjust their livelihood and farming practice to survive with climate change. However, researchers found some costly adaptation strategies to cope with natural calamities. The authors concluded that in order to improve adaptation action in Bangladesh, required proper loan distribution, education, climate-resilient agriculture support, alternative livelihood options and electricity distribution in the rural area.

This journal article serves as an excellent reflection of response to climate change through adaptation. Delaporte and Maurel are experienced scholar, specialized in development economics. There are sufficient statistical data to support their claim about adaptation capacity and strategies. This article is thorough, descriptive and well researched; it includes an overview of adaptive capacity and strategies.
